Undergraduate Program

Thank you for your interest in our program. the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Illinois State University offers a strong academic experience.

Many of our undergraduate courses are taught in a lecture/lab format in order to give students hands-on experience at the undergraduate level. Furthermore, our enthusiastic, student-centered faculty care about your success.

The primary mission of our undergraduate programs in speech language pathology and audiology is to prepare students for a graduate education in either of these fields of study.

• In order to practice as a speech language pathologist, the required entry level degree is a Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• In order to practice as an audiologist, the required entry level degree is a Clinical Doctorate in Audiology.
