Required Courses
All students are required to take the following 11 courses. Additionally, all students must select a minimum of 2 elective courses (offering will varying annually).
- CSD 402 – Cognition/Language/Literacy in Pediatrics (3 credit hours)
- CSD 403 – Cognition/Language/Literacy in Adults (3 credit hours)
- CSD 404 – Developmental Cognition/Language/Communiation Disorders (3 credit hours)
- CSD 406 – Acquired Cognition/Language/Communiation Disorders (3 credit hours)
- CSD 409 – Research and Writing (3 credit hours)
- CSD 410 – Neurobasis of Communication Disorders (3 credit hours)
- CSD 412 – Speech Sound Disorders (3 credit hours)
- CSD 414 – Dysphagia (3 credit hours)
- CSD 417 – Assessment and Management of Stuttering, Voice, and Resonance Disorders (3 credit hours)
- CSD 422 – Assessment and Counseling in Culturally Responsive Practice (3 credit hours)
- CSD 460 – Augmentative and Alternative Communication (3 credit hours)
Typical Length of Time to Complete the MS-SLP Program
- Full-time with a CSD undergraduate major is 5 semesters
- Full-time without a CSD undergraduate major is 7 semesters
