Graduate Program

Program Details

Students participate in classroom and clinical experiences that develop their competence across disorders as well as knowledge in specialty areas. Technical knowledge, competence with hearing aids along with experience with various equipment prepare graduates to function competently and independently in a variety of professional settings.

The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders offers two graduate programs:

Speech Language Pathology

Audiology

Regardless of the option selected, the student must meet the academic and clinical practicum requirements for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). In order to meet the clinical practicum requirements for the CCC, the student must be prepared to accept responsibility for completing all clinical assignments necessary for generating the requisite clock hours the ASHA has specified in designated clinical categories.
