Eckelmann-Taylor Speech and Hearing Clinic

Illinois State University’s Eckelmann-Taylor Speech and Hearing Clinic is one of the largest in the Midwest, with more than 12,000 patient visits per year. The Clinic’s mission is to provide high-quality speech and hearing services to the Central Illinois community, in addition to supporting the academic programs in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) that prepare students to fill the need for qualified professionals in the fields of speech-language pathology and audiology. A requirement of both academic programs is for students to learn and practice their skills at the Eckelmann-Taylor Speech and Hearing Clinic, which is part of the CSD department.

Research and clinical education at the Eckelmann-Taylor Speech and Hearing Clinic are an integral part of the academic experiences provided to students enrolled in graduate Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology programs.
